When was the last time you heard Olivia Newton John, followed by Elton John, and then to top it off Barry Manilow? And you know what? It didn't make me puke either! That's one of the great things about satellite radio because I tuned to this channel searching for exactly what I found. Sometimes you are just in the mood for a particular genre and with Sirius radio, you don't have to go searching for CD's, play-lists, computer files or even worse - shifting through FM radio to find something decent to listen too while avoiding the often irritating secession of commercials.
If this station had another name I guess it could be called something like Sunday Morning Mellow. You will hardly hear a song on this station when you can't sing along, having a high focus on the 60's and 70's sing-along classics.
You could be listening to Gladys Knight and the Pips and then smoothly slide into 10CC, Carly Simon or Barbara Streisand. I have also heard a lot of groovy one hit wonders like "Moonlight Feels Right" by Starbuck and "Escape (The Pina Coloda Song)" by Rupert Holmes. Songs like these bring me back to a place and time often forgot and under appreciated. There always seems to be a surprise waiting in the next song where either my wife or myself will say something like, "Oh I love that song" or "Wow, I haven't heard that in years".
Of course with Sirius satellite radio the best part is the CD quality sound offers the song like you've never heard it before free of sill DJs and repetitive commercials. Next time you want a quiet, Sunday morning this may be the channel to kep you company.
